Tata Communications Selects Hill & Knowlton

ata Communications, which was previously called VSNL, has selected Hill & Knowlton to help increase its presence and mindshare as a global voice and data service provider on a worldwide level, excluding India.
Effective immediately, H&K’s remit includes planning and execution of global media and analyst engagement campaigns, and the building of strategy for stakeholder engagement on digital and social media platforms.
H&K will be working closely with Tata Communications’ global corporate communications team; marketing leaders as well as its marketing and communications agencies.
In a challenging business climate, Tata Communications continues to expand its service offering and presence globally.  Range of services includes transmission, IP, converged voice, mobility, managed network connectivity, hosting and storage, managed security, managed collaboration and business transformation for global enterprises and service providers as well as Internet, retail broadband and content services.
Tata Communications has strategic investments in operators in South Africa (Neotel), Sri Lanka (Tata Communications Lanka), Nepal (United Telecom) and, subject to approval by the Chinese government, China (China Enterprise Communications).

Hill & Knowlton takes over IPAN

he growing trend of International PR agencies making inroads in India, has seen another chapter with global communications consultancy Hill & Knowlton expanding its operations into India by taking over the management responsibilities of IPAN from JWT. The entity is re-branded as IPAN Hill & Knowlton.
Since both JWT and Hill & Knowlton are part of WPP, all existing management and staff at IPAN will continue in their present roles. Radhika Shapoorjee, president, IPAN will report to Hill & Knowlton Asia Pacific President & Chief Operating Officer Vivian Lines.
IPAN Hill & Knowlton would now be a part of Hindustan Thompson Associates, which has other brands like JWT India, IMRB, Contract Advertising, and Fortune, among others.
